Man pleads guilty in crash that injured biker

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- A Florida man who crashed into and seriously injured a Corinth motorcyclist pleaded guilty to vehicular assault and drunken driving charges.
On July 27, a pick-up truck driven by Michael C. Clark, 48, hit David Combs, who was driving through the intersection of Lake Avenue and Henning Road. Combs was flown to Albany Medical Center and later had a leg amputated because of his injuries.
Police who gave Clark a Breathlyzer test at the scene said he had a 0.19 percent blood alcohol content. The legal limit is .08 percent.
Clark pleaded guilty Friday in Saratoga County Court to aggravated vehicle assault, two counts of vehicular assault in the first and second degrees, two charges of DWI and aggravated DWI.
Clark, of Hollywood, Fla., will be sentenced at 10:30 a.m. June 7. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
